Social Tracking and Sharing
When wirelessly paired with select inReach devices via Bluetooth® wireless technology, the free Earthmate® app lets you use your smartphone or tablet for texting, tracking, map viewing and triggering an SOS from anywhere via your inReach device’s connection. Earthmate also lets you access downloads of topographic maps and more on your mobile device.
Weather Forecast
Know before you go. Receive weather forecasts directly on your inReach device, so you can make educated decisions based on local conditions or the destination ahead. Choose from 3 forecasts: basic, premium non-marine and premium marine.
In case of emergency, trigger an interactive SOS message to GEOS, a professional 24/7 global monitoring center. Their trained staff are available to respond to your message, track your device and notify emergency responders in your area — giving you the peace of mind that help is on the way. GEOS will stay in touch with you and your emergency contacts until your situation is resolved.
Earthmate App
Earthmate is a full-featured GPS navigation app and off-the-grid satellite connection. With Earthmate, you can use your smartphone or tablet to access downloadable maps, U.S. NOAA charts, color aerial imagery and more. Pairing via Bluetooth with compatible inReach-enabled products lets you use the app on your mobile device to send two-way text messages – and even link to your social media accounts – globally. The app can also pair inReach with your mobile device’s address book, so it’s easier to stay in touch.
