2020 Virtual Air, Space & Cyber Conference

AFA’S FIRST VIRTUAL CONFERENCE A RUNAWAY SUCCESS!

The annual Air Force Association (AFA) held its first-ever virtual Air, Space & Cyber Conference, themed, “Aerospace Nation: Air, Space & Cyber Forces in the Fight,” September 14-16, drawing more than 10,000 registrants, 85 exhibitors and sponsors, 94 distinguished speakers, and 30 panels and presentations.

Along with remarks from President Donald Trump and an address from Defense Secretary Mark Esper, among the highlights were CSO Gen. John W. “Jay” Raymond leading a virtual swearing-in of 300 Airmen, officers, and enlisted members in the 13S and 1C6 career fields following his speech on Sept. 15.

AFA was unable to hold its usual National Convention for Field Leaders prior to the conference, but instead held a virtual Field Development event, “AFA 20/20: A Celebration of Where We’ve Been, Where We Are and Where We’re Going.” The two-day event attracted 432 Field Leaders who gathered virtually to hear from Air Force and Space Force leaders, participate in learning labs, and take part in other virtual group activities.
