Bronx cake maker draws inspiration for sweets from quarantine trends

A Bronx cake company is proving life in quarantine can still be sweet.

Carmen Paulino, the owner of Bronx Cakes, is serving up delicious desserts with a side of humor.

“I think it all started out taking a look at some of the trends going on, and what was happening, and [I] was like, you know, this could be a fun cake or fun cookie,” says Paulino.

“People love them, they are just in awe of everything. With the Cardi B cake you can definitely hear her when you see the cake,” says Paulino.

She makes everything from scratch, from her mask masterpiece to a slice of Rosie the Riveter.
