Satellite Communications and heterogeneous Networking Laboratory – SCNL is a laboratory at the DITEN Department of the University of Genoa, Italy. It is directed by Prof. Mario Marchese, and it has contributed to the development of research, services, and infrastructures dedicated to satellite and terrestrial telecommunications.
The main scientific reference of the research carried out in the SCNL is the Quality of Service (QoS) management in heterogeneous networks. Details on current research topics are available at the Research section.
Research projects have achieved scientific results of international significance. Many SCNL members are also active within the IEEE Satellite and Space Communication Technical Committee and within Technical Committees of International magazines and conferences.
SCNL is very active in exchanging knowledge and skills with other research groups in other universities and research centres worldwide.
